ZCLA’s Vaccine policy:

As with all generally-accepted vaccines, ZCLA believes that complying with the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and the California Department of Public Health with regard to receiving and regularly updating one’s Covid vaccine regimen reflects sound public health practices and a recognition of the interconnection of all beings; not being vaccinated poses a substantial risk to oneself and to those around you, which is not in alignment with the Zen Buddhist precepts. However, with the evolution of public thinking and policy on Covid responses, although ZCLA strongly recommends that each person who attends Zen Center in person comply with the current vaccine recommendations, we do not require proof of such compliance and will not turn anyone away simply for failing to comply.  Nevertheless, ZCLA reserves the right to ask anyone experiencing symptoms who is not addressing them appropriately in our opinion to leave the grounds.

Masks are optional.  People who wish to wear a mask are welcome to do so.  We offer KN-95 masks for free; they can be found in most of our buildings.  If you want one and cannot locate one, please ask a staff member.

Please take good care of yourself and of each other.
