Householder Koan Class Series 2020

Class series: The Book of Householder Koans: Waking Up in the Land of Attachments. In this series, we will explore the householder koans, mining its compassionate wisdom and receiving what it offers for our spiritual training of being awake in the midst of our very own circumstances. The book has five sections: Home, Raising Children, Work, Loss/Illness/Old Age/Death, and Many Gates of Practice. Every koan is a portal for us, so don’t be misled by the section titles. In each class, we will work on a koan from one of the sections with the intention of working through the entire book of sixty-six koans. Let’s come together to explore how learning to sit own in our very own lives is the portal to awakening. The classes will take place on Tuesdays, 7-8 p.m. We encourage everyone to buy the book in advance.
